New module on Best Practices on the improvement of fatty acid composition launched within a website of the FNLI, the Federation of the Dutch Food Industry.


www.fnli-zichtboek.nl Food product innovations on the improvement on fatty acid composition are launched at the 8th of October as a new module that is part of the FNLI Best Practices book (see www.fnli-zichtboek.nl ). This online production shows product innovations on a yearly basis. Last year the innovations were focussed on the prevention of overweight, this year a module with product cases on salt reduction had been added, as well as – in cooperation with the Task Force On The Improvement of Fatty Acid Composition – product cases on fatty acid composition.

Through this website www.factsonfats.nl, product cases on fatty acid composition have been shown for over some time now. The for mentioned Task Force aims to stimulate the food industry in this way, to lower the intake of saturated fatty acids from food. Besides product cases, on Facts on Fats there is also information on facts and misconceptions about fats. Also product cases from branches other than the food industry, are shown, such as from the catering and the foodservice market. On www.factsonfats.nl product cases are constantly renewed.
